Antique Italian Filigree necklace

Made by Uno A Erre, an Italian jewelry maker founded in 1926, this is a piece of art and history.  C. 1950s made from .835 silver with Italian hallmarks on the matching wheat link chain.  

Filigree jewelry is rare these days, especially excellent examples like this.  Each piece of silver is carefully shaped, woven and joined together by hand and flame. Skilled,  laborious work.  

Antique in excellent condition with matching 50cm chain. Filigree jewelry tends to be a little more fragile than other styles, so this piece is suited for someone who is diligent with looking after their treasures.
